The U.S. Courts were created under Article III of the Constitution to administer justice fairly and impartially, within the jurisdiction established by the Constitution and Congress. This section will help you learn more about the Judicial Branch and its work.

The Federal Judicial Center is the research and education agency of the judicial branch of the U.S. government. The Center was established by Congress in 1967 (28 U.S.C. §§ 620–629). The Innocence Project's mission is to exonerate those innocent people who have been wrongly incarcerated. They work towards reforming the criminal justice system responsible for their unjust imprisonment, improving case law and implementing policies that prevent wrongful convictions, in addition to providing support to exonerees in their post-release lives. Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations are funds available to help defray the cost due to crime victimization. Reparations and restitution are not the same.
An innocent victim of a violent crime (including DWI) may qualify for financial help from the Crime Victims Reparations Board. This money may help pay for medical expenses, or other costs related to personal injuries that were caused by a violent crime.
The Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Program, administered by the Department of Public Safety on behalf of the Crime Victims Reparations Board, provides financial compensation to victims who have suffered personal injury or death as the result of violent crime.
